Not only great food, but also drinking well is a virtue at the Berghotel. Whether in the restaurant or at Mauros Bar you will find drinks of the highest quality. Over 300 different wines in almost every format, by glass or by bottle. Every Sunday as a highlight, you can get a glass served out of a magnum bottle. Ps. Have your cell phone ready for a snapshot.
Of course, a nightcap at Mauro’s Bar before going to bed is a must. A nice grappa, high-quality fruit Schnaps from South Tyrol, a glass of rhum or would you rather have a whiskey?

Berghotel Bar or Mauro’s Bar is a real bar that doesn’t need to shy away from comparison with the best. High quality, but not because of the big names, but because of the content, because of the small producers, because of the highly professional selection and because of the highly professional people behind it... And always accompanied by good music.
Homemade wherever possible: whether homemade Zirmschnaps, limoncello from Sicilian ORGANIC lemons, wine from our own ORGANIC winery “Vogelsanghof” in Brixen or tailor-made gin from Zu Plun - Mauro’s Bar is the place for you.
“You don’t necessarily have to be crazy to be able to distill an excellent liqueur, but it helps enormously.” Plunhof in Siusi allo Sciliar is already mentioned in a document from the 15th century. In the past, the business belonged to Hauenstein Castle and was owned by none other than the poet Oswald von Wolkenstein. Even the poet's vivid imagination could not have imagined that here, 1000 meters above sea level, exquisite spirits and fruit brandies of international standing and quality would one day be created.
Our claim: Honest and strong wines from South Tyrol Wassererhof winery Courageously go your own way – that is our philosophy. Our goal:: wines with a wow effect. At the Wassererhof we concentrate on two excellent locations that produce excellent red wines and white wines.
Discover the beer from the Pustertal Wherever it says Pustertaler Freiheit, it means traditional Tyrolean brewing. This is the case today, it was the case in the year it was founded in 1999 and it will remain this way in the future. The Pustertal freedom – take it for yourself!
My partner and I really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. It was very relaxing at night, although the hotel has a great bar and some rooms with leisure activities such as billiards and board games. The rooms are very comfortable, the spa is wonderful. The restaurant offers excellent food; we also really loved the organic Kuckuck white wine! It's all about quality here and we really appreciate that.

In our small wine cellar in the billiard lounge or on the terrace in summer, we regularly organize wine tastings once a week or upon request. As a rule, white wines from the region are tasted. 5-6 different wines whether organic, biodynamic or from small farms.
On request, Stefan can also only do red wine tasting or red and white wine tasting.

Biodynamic wines: Biodynamic agriculture is based on the same principles as organic cultivation. The difference is that biodynamic agricolture emphasizes the holistic development and interrelationships of the soil and plant as well as the holistic organism vineyard-people-soil.
PIWI Wines: The vineyard is worked according to organic criteria and onyl very few inseticides are used. Depending on the grapes, PIWI wines are resistant against many vine diseases.
Our Kuckuck white wine is a cuvée of: 30 % Solaris (crossbreed wild grape with Riesling) for the acidity and 70 % Muscaris (crossbreed wild grape with Muskateller) and our Kuckuck red wine is a cuvèe of Cabernet Cortis and Cabernet Jura. This is our wine. The difference happens in the cellar. Not much happens in the vineyard except for: 3x application of copper and sulphur far below the permissible amounts plus the farm's own fertiliser and donkey dung.
Quality is also the common thread when it comes to non-alcoholic drinks. This ranges from organic apple juice from Santerhof to the great (organic) juices from Alpe Pragas and the carbonated juices from Limestone, Tea infusions come from South Tyrol, coffee and teas are fair trade and organic.
Our bar menu is full of surprises, a remarkable selection of drinks that are not everyday and what you definitely won't find are bad drinks!

Preparation: Fill shaker with ice. Add the vodka and elderberry syrup. Shake hard. Pour into a tumbler and add the tonic. As a garnish, put the sprig of pine.
